This module focuses on incorporating spirituality and culture as a means of support in the lives of adult survivors of child sexual abuse. After completing this module, advocates will be able to:
- Understand how bias and privilege show up when discussing spirituality, religion, faith, and culture
- Recognize how spirituality has been used as a tool of oppression but can also be used as a tool for healing for adult survivors of child sexual abuse
- Recognize how culture and spirituality have influenced their own lives and their advocacy
This module is part of the Healing in Motion: Coalitions Supporting Growth and Change in the Lives of Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse. The curriculum is part of a larger project called Building Resilience: Enhancing Rural Advocacy for Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.
