Stopping the Stigma: Changing Public Perceptions of Sexual Assault in Rural Communities, California Coalition Against Sexual Assault
This information packet is designed to assist advocacy programs in rural or remote areas in gaining support from their respective communities with the goal of creating partnerships to meet the needs of survivors and end sexual violence. Many rural communities are geographically isolated or cover a large area; thus, outreach in places where people come together is a key component of this packet. Outreach targets will focus on the following: schools, faith communities, local businesses, and community groups.
